IB Admissions Requirements
Thank you for your interest in Prosser IB!
Prosser actually has two IB programmes: the IB Diploma and the IB Career Programme. Check out the following flyers and videos to find out more about what IB is and what it looks like at Prosser! They showcase both programmes and how Prosser IB students select which program to continue with during their freshmen year.
- Why IB Flyer?
- Prosser IB Programmes Flyer
- IB Programme Recording for Freshmen Parents
- IB Course Sequence at Prosser
- IB Showcase Video (Check out our teachers and classrooms!)
- IB Math (We love Mrs. Jennings!)
- IB Student Testimonial Video (Hear from a current IBDP student!)
We encourage interested students to attend our Open House for more information, and we encourage you to rank Prosser IB as your #1 Choice Program in GoCPS.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS: Admissions requirements for 9th graders are determined by the CPS Office of Access and Enrollment. Prosser IB is a choice program that any current 8th grader can rank for admission. Click here for more information about how choice program applications are administered.
The following resources are also helpful with regard to IB admissions:
- SY25-26 Scoring Rubric for High School Programs
- This outlines how 7th grade grades and High School Admissions Test Scores are combined to produce a student’s points.
- SY25-26 Choice Point Totals
- This contains minimum and average scores for those admitted to Choice Programs last year. Prosser’s average score was 649!
- SY25-26 High School Scoring Worksheet
- This worksheet will help you predict your own total points.
GEOGRAPHIC AREA BONUS: Students who reside within a 2.5 mile radius from Prosser receive an extra 50 bonus points. Here’s a map of that geographic boundary.

IB APPLICATIONS FOR CURRENT 9th & 10th GRADE PROSSER STUDENTS: Current Prosser students can apply for open spots in the IBDP or CP program on a rolling basis using this link.
