Welcome Message
We welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year with enthusiasm, hope and an enduring commitment to providing our students with compelling and nourishing learning experiences.
To support students to and through high school and to make sure they have good choices in front of them about how to live their postsecondary lives, we provide enriching coursework, and we focus on exploring identity, establishing relationships and strengthening community.
At Prosser, our goal is that students will learn who they are, how they connect to others and the power they have to impact their world.
We certainly track metrics – attendance, test scores and Freshman on Track rates among them – but, while doing so, we invest in the whole student. Our goal is to create an environment in which students can feel a deep sense of belonging, understand the possibility and potential they have within themselves and learn to capitalize on their skills and strengths.
Prosser has a long tradition of excellence, and we want present and future students to benefit from this tradition by understanding and appreciating the purpose of education and the need to respect the rights of others. Students: You are a select group chosen to attend this school, and you must remain true to yourselves and focus on your future which is full of possibilities; our efforts will afford you the opportunities, and your efforts will determine how far you progress.
Our Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP) embraces our ideals and is focused on three foundations: Curriculum & Instruction, Inclusive & Supportive Teaching and Connectedness & Wellbeing. These three foundations are united by Prosser’s commitment to equity for all students. The collective goal is to ensure that all students have access to dynamic classroom instruction, support in their learning and opportunities to grow as individuals, who are critical thinkers with the skills to handle a wide range of ideas, emotions and circumstances. We have the greatest confidence that our students will succeed as a result of our focus on these goals.
Teaching and learning is an inherently human endeavor, so we will not always get everything right, but we will not stop trying, and we have no doubt it will be a great year.
Please reach out to us if you need any assistance. We are here to help you.
