Stories connect us to ourselves, each other and the natural world.

 

In addition to all of the texts that are covered in their classes, at Prosser there are students who come together in order to read and discuss books they are reading in their free time.

 

The Prosser Book Club is sponsored by English Teacher Johanna Villanueva and Principal Sandra Shimon, and the students are given a copy of each book we read to keep and are also given a copy to share with a friend. So moved by Kent State by Deborah Wiles, in Fall 2022, we also left copies of the book around the Belmont Cragin community so that others would have access to this important story.
