The field between Prieto and Prosser HS was selected to host the back to school bash for Network 3 (also inclusive of the HS, ISPs, etc that fall within this geographic region) on Wednesday, July 20 at 2-5pm.
Overview:
In preparation for the 2022-2023 school year, Chicago Public Schools has designed a comprehensive Back to School strategy to:
Ensure strong Day 1/Week 1 attendance
Proactively engage students who identify as priority
Deploy resources and supports to students and families
Provide tailored fun experiences to families
Events
Each regional back-to-school event will be broken up into three primary areas - resources/giveaways, fun treats and entertainment. These areas will be supervised by CPS employees and CPS Vendors and will serve participants throughout the events.
Audience
Our content will be distributed in English, Spanish, and where applicable, Arabic, Urdu, Simplified Chinese, and Polish. Our target audience includes:
CPS Staff: School leaders, Network Offices, Central Offices
LSCs: Current members, LSC Advisory Board
Elected Officials: aldermen, state officials, and city hall
The Public: parents, students, community members, and the media
Parent Groups: PACs, BACs, CACs, CMPC, PBG, and Parent Universities
Partners: sister agencies, community organizations, faith-based institutions, and external training partners
