Alderman Event - Mecardo de Navidad (South Gym)

On December 3rd, 2022 The 36th ward Alderman Gilbert Villegas and Northwest Side CDC is celebrating the start of the holiday season by bringing local Latino vendors, food vendors, artists, and Mr and Mrs. Claus together at ¡Mercado! de Navidad. We would like to transform Prosser Career Academy into an immersive, family-friendly event with live performances, live music, food vendors, over retail vendors, and pictures with Santa. Our ¡Mercado! events have an online reach of over 17,000, your support is a direct investment into the recovery of local Latinx businesses and artists from the COVID-19 economic downturn. Thank you for supporting our community!

Performance will range from school choirs, to Ballet Folklorico de Chicago, to local Belmont Cragin bands. We are also hoping to have 4 food vendors and around 15 vendors. 

         We are asking for the use of the Gymnasium 
         and parking lot of Grand and Long for the 
         event on December 3rd. We also ask for                 
         access of December 2nd for set up after 
         school hours and December 3 for cleanup.

         Please let me know if you need anything else 
         from our end we want to start promoting and 
         outreach for vendors.
