Welcome to Prosser

We are very pleased to welcome you to Prosser Career Academy for the 2008-2009 school year. You are a member of a select group of students chosen to attend this school. All of us at Prosser will be working with you to make this school year an exciting and productive one. Our combined efforts will help you to grow both academically and socially. We have an exciting program available to you this year. Your efforts will determine how far you progress.

Prosser has a tradition of excellence. We want present and future students to benefit from this tradition by understanding and appreciating the need to respect the rights of others and to understand the purpose of education.

The orientation you are attending is intended to assist you in the transition to high school. The attendance, discipline, and homework policies as well as the dress code have long been in effect at Prosser, having been adopted and ratified by past and present students, teachers and administrators & Local School Councils. They are intended to provide you with the tools and structure necessary to be successful, not only at Prosser, but later in the adult world.

Educational success requires, among other conditions, an orderly and well structured setting. School officials will go to any length and use whatever means are deemed necessary to guarantee that all students enrolled at Prosser will be offered the best educational opportunities possible. Anyone interfering with this process is in violation with one of the most basic American rights.

We have the greatest confidence that all Prosser students are or will be able to recognize their responsibilities to fellow students, their families and their own future.
