Wearing of Uniform

It is required that each cadet wear his/her uniform once a week on the assigned "uniform day." If a cadet misses a uniform day, the uniform is to be worn on the designated "make-up day." When the uniform is not worn without an approved excuse, disciplinary action will be taken.

Female Uniforms

Class A

Rank: 1/2 inch from the edge of the shoulder seam. Arrows always point toward the collar.

School Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.

JROTC Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.

Star: Centered (left-right) 1/4 inch above the name tag.

Academic Wreath: Centered (left-right) 1/8 inch above the name tag.

Name Tag: The bottom of the name tag is align with the top of the first button; centered on the seam.

School Crest: Centered between the second and third button, placed on the seam.

Ribbons: The bottom of the ribbons are align with the top of the first button; centers on the seam.

Pins: Place between the second and third button, centered (left-right) on the seam. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart.

JROTC Pin (Officers): Placed diagonally on the upper lapel.

Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.

Class B

Board Rank: On shoulder tabs.

Name Tag: Aligned with the top button and centered on the seam.

Ribbons: Aligned with the top button and centered (left-right) on the seam.

Star: Centered (left-right) and 1/4 inch above the name tag.

Wreath: Centered (left-right) and 1/8 inch above the name tag. The star is placed inside the wreath.

School Crest: Centered between the third and fourth buttons and placed on the seam.

Pins: Placed between the second and third button and centered (left-right) on the seam. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart from each other.

Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.

Male Unifom

  1.   Clean cut hair cuts, off ears and collar.

  2.   A clean shaved face with mustaches no wider than mouth.

  3.   Only black socks should be worn. 

 

 

Class A

Star: 1/4 inch above the top of the pocket and centered (left-right) with the pocket.

Wreath: 1/8 inch above the top of the pocket and centered (left-right) with the pocket. The star is worn inside the wreath.

School Crest: Centered (left-right) with the pocket and centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket.

Pins: Centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket. Each pin should be 1/4 inch apart from each other.

Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.

BDU

Enlisted

Name Tag: Placed 1/4 inch above the seam of the pocket and centered (left-right).

JROTC Patch: Placed 1/4 inch above the seam of the pocket and centered (left-right).

Officer

Name Tag: Placed 1/4 inch above the seam of the pocket and centered (left-right).

JROTC Patch: Placed 1/4 inch above the seam of the pocket and centered (left-right).

Rank: Placed one inch in from the top edge of the lapel on the jacket. Rank is placed straight up and down.

JROTC Pin: Placed one inch on from the top edge of the lapel on the jacket. Rack is placed straight up and down so that the "R" is on the bottom.

How To Tie a Tie

The Windsor Half-Knot
1. Start with the wide end of the tie on your right. Extend it about 12 inches below the narrow end.
2. Cross the wide end over the narrow, and turn back underneath.
3. Bring the wide end up, and turn down through loop.
4. Pass the wide end around to the front from your left to right.
5. Bring the wide end up through the loop.
6. Pull the wide end through the knot in front. Tighten and draw up to collar.

The Windsor Knot
1. Start with the wide end of the tie on your right. Extend it about 12 inches below the narrow end.
2. Cross the wide end over the narrow, and bring it up through the loop.
3. Bring the wide end down, around behind the narrow, and up on your right.
4. Put this end down through the loop and across the narrow (as shown).
5. Turn the wide end, and pass it through the loop.
6. Complete the knot by slipping the wide end through the knot in front. Tighten and draw up to collar.

The Four-in-Hand Knot
1. Start with the wide end of the tie on your right. Extend it about 12 inches below the narrow end.
2. Cross the wide end over the narrow, and back underneath.
3. Continue by bringing the wide end around, passing it across the front of the narrow once more.
4. Pass the wide end up through the loop.
5. Holding the front of the knot loosely with index finger, pass the wide end down through the loop in front.
6. Remove finger, and tighten knot. Carefully, draw up tight to collar, holding the narrow end and sliding the knot up snug.
