Words of Advice...And Thank You's
People make mistakes, some big...some small. The key is to learn from those mistakes, and figure out new ways to help create a better person out of yourself. Remember always be courteous, kind and grateful. Credibility can get you really far, it can help you in some of your toughest situations. Know that someone is on your side, and you do have help...not everyone is a monster whose out to get you. And to three teachers impaticularly, I must say thank you: Coach Rociola, Mr. Boyle and Ms. Valerio. You all have helped me in so many ways, some so indescribable. Roc you've helped me by making me laugh on my bad days...and then telling me when to get my stuff together. Mr. Boyle, you've dealt with my best friend and I for about two years now...delightfully and without complaint (sarcasm), and you helped me understand, even if I didn't want to. And last, but surely not least, Ms. Valerio. I love you soooo much, and I don't know if you knew this but, I was extremely uncomfortable with having your class, because supposedly it was tough, and you weren't the sweetest berry of the bunch. I'll admit, the class was pretty tough, but it turned out that you were one of the nicest, most caring people I had ever encountered. And I honestly felt like when I left your class, I took something with me. I felt as though I had grown, as a student, and as a person, and for that I thank you.
So to the freshman, if you are ever so lucky to have any of these teachers, PRAISE THEM...it is worth it. Have a good year...make SMART choices.
XOXO
